Altadena, CA – Master Hypnotherapist Carmela Tunzi, owner of Mind Flow Hypnosis, presented at the Altadena Rotary Club on August 10th, 2017, at the Altadena Town & Country Club ( Dr., Altadena, CA 91001).
Carmela’s talk focused on how hypnotherapy can assist with stress management and pain relief. Her presentation also included a live demonstration, working with a volunteer participant from the Rotary Club.
Carmela’s talk focused on the importance of making the mind and body work together. When used correctly and consistently, hypnotherapy can be a powerful tool in helping individuals use mental visualization to effect real change in their lives. Carmela demonstrated by power of visualization by working with a volunteer participant from the Rotary Club, who reported experiencing knee pain following workouts. Through a short visualization exercise, she was able to reduce his pain from a reported 7 out of 10 to a 2.5 out of 10. Carmela did caution, however, that hypnotherapy works through repetition, and is not a once-off cure. Hypnotherapy is about controlling the interactivity of the mind and body, in this case reducing the amount of pain experienced.
