Burbank, CA – Burbank Pa Kua Martial Arts & Health’s first Belt Ceremony of 2017 saw 6 students receive instructor rank, and many more receiving belt promotions. The ceremony followed a 45-minute class led by 5th Degree Master Kyle Billingsley, owner and head teacher at Burbank Pa Kua.
Burbank Pa Kua is a member of World Pa Kua Martial Arts & Health, an international organization dedicated to the health and well-being of students and communities. It supports schools where people can come and learn how to be healthy, happy, and strong. “The hardest part of teaching,” reflected Master Billingsley, “is that sometimes what a person needs is more life experience, not more information.”
In addition to a range of classes throughout the week, Burbank Pa Kua runs an after school program for children who benefit from a blend of attentive care, a focused environment for schoolwork, and martial arts and health education.
Master Kyle Billingsley, head of the Burbank location, is a 5th Degree Black Belt in Pa Kua Martial Arts. Master Deborah Neikirk and Master Alex Mokover, both 3rd degree Masters, represented the North Hollywood location at the ceremony.
