Thousand Oaks, CA – Officebites, Inc. competed in the 805 Startups Demo Competition on July 26th, 2017. The event was held at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Officebites and their co-founders, Jesse Shapiro and Evan Milnor, were selected to compete against four other start-up ventures in the event. Officebites had previously won the Union Bank award for the most outstanding new venture to come out of UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2017, and a fellowship from the West Los Angeles YPO earlier this year.
The five startups were selected to compete from a pool of more than 65 applicants. They presented to an audience of 400 Southern Californians, including many entrepreneurs, investors, and vendors as well as a four-judge panel from the Angel Investor and Venture Capital community.
805 Startups is the premier startup organization in Ventura County, Santa Barbara, and Conejo Valley. 805 Startups members take advantage of a large and rapidly growing network comprised of startups, investors, corporations, politicians, universities, and talent.
This annual event put on by the 805 Startups provides entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn better how to pitch, to help investors assess their ventures, and to network among the throng of investors, government officials, educators, students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders all searching for the right ventures to support.
Officebites has now officially entered in its final pre-launch stage on its mission to provide high-protein, portion-controlled snacks (with habit-stamps) to help regulate blood sugar, physical energy and mental acuity throughout the work day.
