San Fernando Valley and Ventura County BNI mix with tech entrepreneurs at 805 Startups

Agoura Hills – Representatives from the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County regions of BNI teamed up to mix with local tech entrepreneurs and other local professionals at the 805 Startups June mixer at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center.

The 805 Startups Mixer brings together local tech startups, tech professionals, and other local businesspeople interested in connecting and learning more about technology companies in the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County. The event included presentations and talks from business and thought leaders, such as , Co-Founder at Partnerly, Inc., , CEO and Co-Founder of IndieU, , Partner at Rincon Venture Partners, , and CEO at Blue Microphones.

“It was great to connect with local entrepreneurs, and learn more about the area’s tech scene,” said , SFV BNI Ambassador and CEO of LA Community News, “the enthusiasm, creativity, and motivation to succeed at events like these are infectious.”

The two regions’ executive directors, Red H. Mann for San Fernando Valley, and Linda McCarthy for Ventura County BNI, were enthusiastic to collaborate on creating a BNI presence at the event. “I totally enjoyed the people at this event!” said Linda McCarthy, “I loved how open they were and they all wanted to interact and learn and share!”

BNI is one of the largest international referral-networking organization in the world. The mission of BNI is to help members increase their business through a structured, positive and professional referral marketing program that enables them to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with quality business professionals. BNI is unique in that chapters only allow one member for each professional classification. This limits competition and encourages members to build trusting relationships with each other.
