Burbank, CA – Auditions for the 2nd Annual Burbank Singing Star will be held on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 from 3pm-7pm at The Music Junction (323 S. Front St., Burbank, CA 91502). Children ages 5-14 in Southern California are encouraged to attend and showcase their singing talents in front of music professionals.
Contestants are asked to prepare a 30-second audition song. To audition in person, RSVP to reserve a time slot by email at [email protected] or by calling . In-person audition space is limited. Contestants may also audition by submitting a video through the Burbank Singing Star’s online audition site. Video auditions will be accepted until March 17th. The most viewed video will receive automatic entry into the show.
The 2nd Annual Burbank Singing Star will feature two children’s singing contests, and an outdoor family festival on Sunday, April 9th 2017, beginning at 12pm. There will be one contest for ages 5-9, and another for ages 10-14. The contests will be judged by celebrity judges Andrew Lane, producer of High School Musical, and Peggi Blu, from American Idol. Jhanessa Equila, last year’s winner, will perform her original single, produced by Burbank Singing Star as part of her Grand Prize package. Prizes for this year’s competition include: full-length piano keyboards, guitars, ukeleles, singing and songwriting lessons, recording studio sessions, and headshot photography sessions.
Burbank Singing Star is an annual event that raises money for local charities. This year’s beneficiary is the music programs in the Burbank Unified School District.
