Burbank, CA – Burbank-based dentist, Dr. Dino Gharibian, DDS, shares some important advise about how porcelain veneers can help improve a smile.
Explaining what porcelain veneers are and how they work, Dr. Dino says that porcelain veneers are the ideal choice for improving the smile because of their versatility and their preservation of healthy tooth structure. He further informs that porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth.

“When bonded to the teeth, the ultra-thin porcelain veneers are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to coffee, tea, wine, or even cigarette stains. He says, “For strength and appearance, their resemblance to healthy, white tooth enamel is unsurpassed by other restorative options.”
Dr Dino further explains that porcelain veneers work by sitting on front surface of the teeth, allowing them to change the shape, size, color, and esthetics of an individual’s teeth and smile. What makes them so ideal is that they are minimally invasive, meaning they remove very little tooth structure.
Shedding some light on how important porcelain veneers are to his clients, Dr. Dino said that they are the treatment of choice when it comes to esthetic dentistry and the perfect smile. They are important to patients because they can help correct irregularities, defects, gaps, cracks, and stains in an individual’s smile. This allows for added confidence.
He adds that most people think that veneers are the same for everyone, when in fact they are not. Each veneer is custom designed for an individual’s smile and to their liking. “Think of it is the outside presentation of your house. You can have walls that have cracks and stains and worn down fillings, or you can have beautiful walls with no imperfections. He says, “This is the beauty of veneers. They allow for individual customization.”
Dr. Dino informs that at DNA Dental Studio they have a certain process where they work through with clients in preparing and installing veneers. They always start with a meet and greet where they get to know the patient a little better and help answer any questions they may have about this procedure. They want to know as much details about a person’s smile and what their perfect smile would look like this. This allows them to help provide the most ideal treatment plan for that patient.
After the meet and greet, they take cosmetic photographs of a patient’s smile and complete a smile analysis. This is where our doctors review the patient’s xrays and smile photographs and are then able to diagnose the ideal case for that patient. The doctor explains that this process is different for every patient because porcelain veneers are a very personalized and customized procedure.
Dr. Dino says “Our goal is to make our patients happy and to provide them with a smile that will bring them extra confidence.” He further adds that they help every step of the way and want their patient’s to be involved with their treatment plan.
