DNA Dental Studio: Invisalign for a happy smile

November 20, 2017

Burbank, CA – Burbank-based dentist, Dr. Dino Gharibian, DDS, shares valuable insight about how people can achieve a straighter and more beautiful smile with Invisalign clear aligners. Dr. Dino and his wife, Dr. Angie Terzian, are both dentists and co-owners of DNA Dental Studio.

According to Dr. Dino, Invisalign clear aligners are a more practical and modern solution to traditional metal braces. “These clear aligned fit snugly over teeth and are virtually unnoticeable,” Dr. Dino says, “Each aligner is custom made to your desired smile and helps to correct problems such as crowding, spaces between your teeth, and a variety of irregular biting issues.”

Highlighting the ease of use that Invisalign clear aligners offer, Dr. Dino informs that these custom made aligners can be worn while at work during the day and while sleeping at night. Retainers can be alternated every 1-2 weeks and within an average of 9-15 weeks, patients can achieve straighter and more beautiful smiles.

According to Dr. Dino, Invisalign helps DNA Dental’s patients achieve their desired smile, without the headaches of traditional metal braces. “Our goal is to help out patients look and feel great about themselves,” says Dr. Dino, “We do this by giving them a healthy and beautiful smile.”

DNA Dental Studio LogoIn addition to Invisalign’s cosmetic benefits, they also help achieve greater dental and overall health. Countless studies have shown that gum disease (also known as gingivitis and periodontitis) have been linked to increased risks for heart disease, diabetes, and several other systemic complications. “That’s because bacteria can live inside the gums and if they are left untreated and allowed to proliferate, will result in inflammation. This inflammation can then spread to other organs in the body and cause harmful effect to one’s health,” says Dr. Dino, “By having straighter teeth, this reduces the areas where plaque and calculus can build-up in the mouth, thereby reducing the risk of periodontal disease. Although routine dental check-ups should still be a mandatory part of one’s overall health, the benefits of straighter teeth can have significant improvements on one’s health.

Dr. Dino stresses that it’s important to understand Invisalign’s possibilities, and limitations. Invisalign will not be the best solution for every situation. However, when properly used, the before and after photos of Invisalign patients show remarkable results.

Dr. Dino Gharibian, co-owner of Burbank-based DNA Dental, is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the Burbank Chamber of Commerce, the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, and the American Medical Society (AAMS). Dr. Dino received his dental education from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) with high honors. Prior to attending USC, he graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University (LMU) with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He helps his patients gain confidence by improving their smile and their overall health.
