Burbank, CA – Throughout the month of October 2017, Olive Auto Center would be joining the “Brakes for Breasts” fundraiser to support a breast cancer vaccine. The Olive Auto Center, is located at 264 W Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91502.
The Olive Auto Center will offer brake replacements, including free brake pads as well as brake shoes during the month of October, 2017. Customers pay only for the labor and parts, of which, 10% also gets to donated to the charity.
The main purpose of this event is to support research for the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund. Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic have successfully tested a breast cancer prevention vaccine and are working to take the vaccine to human trials and during the month of October. In support of this fund, more than a hundred independent auto repair shops from across the US are offering free brake pads to their customers. Customers just pay for the labor and other parts, while 10% of that brake service goes to the Brakes for Breasts fund. Since 2011, Brakes for Breasts has successfully raised a grand total of $492,320.70, all of which has gone directly into the research.
