Verdugo Hills Council Boy Scouts Announce 42nd Annual Big Strike Auction

August 22, 2017

Burbank, CA – Verdugo Hills Council, Boy Scouts of America announce the 42nd Annual Big Strike Auction. This year’s theme is Fiesta de Los Verdugos to be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at 6:00PM, at the Calamigos Equestrian Center (). Reservations required.

In addition to the silent auction, the event includes dinner, entertainment and a live auction. The evening’s emcee is K-Earth 101’s “Shotgun” Tom Kelly. Those who wish to support the Scouts may choose from several sponsorship opportunities or underwrite portions of the event to help offset expenses. Underwriting opportunities include: Volunteer dinners, postage, printing, bar host, entertainment, appetizer host, auction software and audio visual production.

The Verdugo Hills Council serves youth in Burbank, Eagle Rock, Glendale, La Canada Flintridge, La Crescenta, Montrose, Sunland and Tujunga.

The Boy Scouts of America provides the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training, which helps young people be prepared for life. The scouting organization is composed of nearly 2.5 million youth members between the age of 7 and 21 and approximately 960,000 volunteers in local councils throughout the United States.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Boy Scouts of America prepare youth to become responsible, participating citizens and leaders.
