Burbank, CA – Tickets are now on sale for the 2nd Annual Burbank Singing Star, which will take place on Sunday, April 9th 2017, from 12pm-6pm, at Luther Burbank Middle School (, Burbank, CA 91505). This year’s edition will feature two kids’ singing competitions and an outdoor family festival that includes food trucks, face painting, and live music. The family festival will have activities for children including dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, music lessons, and other interactive stations. Tickets for the show are available at www.themusicjunction.com/bss. The family festival is free for all to attend.
The 2nd Annual Burbank Singing Star will feature one singing contest for ages 5-9 (1pm) and another for ages 10-14 (3:30pm) held during the event. Celebrity judges include Rydel Lynch from the band R5, Andrew Lane, producer of High School Musical, Peggi Blu, from American Idol, and Luis Dubuc from the band Mystery Skulls. Jhanessa Equila, last year’s winner, will perform her original single, produced by Burbank Singing Star as part of her Grand Prize package. Prizes for this year’s competition include: full-length piano keyboards, guitars, ukeleles, singing and songwriting lessons, recording studio sessions, and headshot photography sessions.
Charissa Wheeler of The Music Junction will reprise her role as Master of Ceremonies, and will be joined this year by Austrialian beatboxer Samwise.
Burbank Singing Star is an annual event that raises money for local charities. This year’s beneficiary is the music programs in the Burbank Unified School District.
