Burbank, CA – Burbank City Councilman Bob Frutos is set to host a re-election rally at North End Pizzeria (2206 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505) on Monday, March 27th, from 7-9pm. The event will provide residents an opportunity to meet Councilman Frutos, and ask him questions about his Council experience, and plans and goals if re-elected in the upcoming Burbank General Election on April 11, 2017.
Councilman Frutos was first elected to the Burbank City Council in 2013, serving as Vice Mayor from 2014-2015 and Mayor for the 2015-2016 year. In 2003 he was appointed to the Burbank Police Commission and served as its Chairman for three years. He served as a member of the Burbank Charter Review Committee and sub-committee. He served for over five years on the Board of Directors of the Kids Community Dental Clinic.
Frutos points to several accomplishments over his first term on the Council, including unanimously passing a balanced budget, increasing funding for the Police Department, passing an Interim Development Control Ordinance including Neighborhood Design Guidelines, allocating an additional $1.2million for street repairs, and established Burbank a host town for the 2016 Special Olympics. He lists his future priorities as balanced development, traffic mitigation, neighborhood protection, balanced parking control, and support for senior services and small business.
