Good Heart Food is a leading company in the ice cream cone business and serves some of the major players in the ice cream industry in the Philippines. Recently, it has expanded to producing baked goods for prominent institutional accounts and convenience stores. The company has been around since 2010 and have acquired the latest European machines and technology to manufacture high quality and international standard products. They are also the first ice cream cone manufacturer in the Philippines to be certified in ISO 22000:2005 food safety management system.
Prior to the implementation of this project, Good Heart had minimal automation as it mainly controlled its functions through accounting tools like Quickbooks, spreadsheets, and physical paper trails. They had no sophisticated integrated solution to enable gaining an overall view of the company, and mostly relied on manual processes which were prone to human error.
OmniTechnical implemented Odoo for Good Heart which integrated their functions and streamlined a lot of their current processes. This strongly impacted their sales, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting departments among others, allowing these department to seamlessly collaborate without actually having to interact. OmniTechnical also provided a solution to tedious tasks involving complex customers which previously required a dedicated accounts personnel to monitor the branches and receivables, increasing employee efficiency and allowing them to take on more responsibilities.
Although the processes were quicker, efforts were made to ensure that the users transitioned as smoothly as possible. OmniTechnical went at lengths to build Odoo around the company’s unique needs and processes so that all-in-all, they felt as little as possible of the big changes that were happening while also strongly experiencing the positive results of these changes.
