Burbank, CA – Fatima Bustos-Choy, owner of Body & Brain Burbank, explains the importance of One-minute Change, an exercise program that suits the busy lifestyle of modern-day people.
Fatima explains that One-minute Change exercise is a very useful way to take back one’s life. “From observations, including myself, people these days are simply too busy to stop, and the thought of exercising seems unrealistic and just difficult to do,” says Fatima. The concept of One-minute Change Exercise is a way to “chunk” or do “bite-size” workouts and feel easier and more doable than an hour of exercise. One-minute Change is a body and brain lifestyle choice of exercising and moving your body for 1 minute at every hour. “All you have to do is stop what you’re doing for 1 minute,” says Fatima, “it doesn’t matter what exercise you do for that time.”
“People can download the app on their phones and use it at work, home, or wherever they are,” says Fatima, “the app guides the user on countless ways people can reclaim their time and shift their energy by maximizing their energy for just one minute”. The app comes with various one-minute exercises depending on what the user needs, such as weight management, stress release, or strength & toning. The center also provides classes on the exercises.
The most important piece of One-minute Change is exercising one minute per hour. According to Fatima, “doing 1 minute of exercise every hour, repeated 10-12 times in a day, will bring about life changing results. One-minute Change Exercise can strengthen one’s physical power, hear power, as well as brain power.”
“In today’s business world, now more than ever, professional and working people experience more stress due to increased competition, high demands from family and work, and feelings of isolation and helplessness,” Fatima says. “With one-minute exercises, one can release stress immediately and regain energy and focus.”
Fatima stresses that successful change starts with smaller, more manageable steps that people can readily take on. According to her, “some people are so stuck, so afraid to move in any direction, unwilling to try anything new, that sooner than later, they experience physical, emotional and mental ailments. Taking 1 minute of your hour has amazing ripple effects,” says Fatima, “1 minute represents changing your energy, this energy change is cumulative, and may be invisible to start but eventually, you notice you have acquired a new healthy habit! For example, doing squats for 1 minute every hour, 8 hours in a day over a week, you could feel your thighs are stronger, your stamina is greater, and you have more energy. When we can see change physically, emotionally and mentally, that is when we see a shift in our health and consciousness.”
At Body & Brain Burbank, one-minute exercises are integral to the center’s daily practices. In addition, Fatima and her team of trainers and health practitioners help people to experience natural ways of healing and developing healthy life styles with group classes that consist of deep stretching, breathing, brain wave vibration, and energy meditation. Members can also participate in various Body & Brain workshops as well as have private sessions for customized needs. Ultimately, Fatima and Body & Brain’s mission is to help people live healthier, happier, and more peaceful and productive lives. The One-minute Change App can help people achieve this goal.
