Burbank, CA – Real estate agent Julian Munoz reports that the Burbank property market appreciated for the month of August 2017 reaching the mean price of $750,347, a year over year by 6.9 percent, with a total of 85 sales. In August of 2016 the mean price was $702,111 with a total of 78 sales. By the end of August there were only 151 homes on the market, only a 2.4 months’ worth of inventory, a decline year over year by 16.6%, but an increase from July.
Market forecast for September 2017
Munoz predicts the Burbank real estate market to appreciate in fall 2017 year over year between 3%-7% if all else in the economy remains the same. Prices will continue to flatten in price as the fall season continues which has been the trend from the last few years. The slight increase in inventory will help in Septembers sales to be greater in volume and may contribute to a softening in appreciation.
